Description The Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS) is currently seeking a full-time Director, Trustee & Auxiliary Education & Development. This position reports to the Executive Director, Healthcare Trustees of New York State and will be responsible for managing relationships with two key Association groups within our membership community: Healthcare Trustees and Auxiliary members. The Director is primarily responsible for the development of education and communications including web content and tools for Healthcare Trustees and Auxiliary members and is secondarily responsible for the design, development, and production of the Association?s overall program for health care auxiliaries. Our ideal candidate will be a self-starting, service-oriented professional who is adept at relationship management. Engaging our Trustees and Auxilians through a combination of creative communications and progressive education is a core component of the position.
Skills ?????????Master?s degree in health management, public health/policy, or related field required with a minimum of five years management or leadership experience. (Bachelor?s degree considered with a minimum of seven (7) years relevant experience). ?????????Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven abilities in public speaking, copywriting, and editing. ?????????Able to work both independently (self-starter) and as part of a team. ?????????Excellent interpersonal and member service skills with experience cultivating and maintaining relationships. ?????????Strong organization, planning, idea-generation and project management abilities. ?????????Conference and event planning experience preferred. ?????????Flexibility to travel statewide with occasional overnights.
